It offered me SUSE, Debian and Fedora (all of which I've used 
previously. :-) ).

The runners up were Mandriva, Ubuntu and Kubuntu.

I'm not sure why Ubuntu was so far down, but at least it made a list.

I used Mandrake years ago.  It was OK then.  I don't particularly care 
for it now (from what I've seen and heard).   If I'd done the list 
myself it would have had  Ubuntu/Kubuntu (which I still consider as 
one), Debian and Fedora at the top.
