Does scanning work in 5.10?

I don't have problems scanning under Breezy. I did configure under
Hoary, and the message at the end in console was giving a command line
to invoke. But it didn't work. Then I noticed at the shutdown scrolling
a message giving the right command line for the scanner. I wrote it
down, and after reboot did the configuration again and invoked this one
command instead of the debian's command given in the console; all works
fine since.
My machine is a USB HP PSC 1210 that prints copy and scan.
You might need XSane, I've got both in the system with xscanimage. About
scsi, I don't know, sorry.
