mounting NFS shares

Although this is probably not the answer you are looking for I have
recently started using sshfs wherever possible. If you have ssh access
to the computer providing the nfs share I have found sshfs to be very
simple and reliable. It would also seem to be secure across insecure
networks. I am not sure about the throughput but it seems to be working
fine for me.
