On the computer at work kubuntu has totally replaced windows. My laptop
is dual boot with windows but since kubuntu was installed four months
ago I only booted into windows once just to see if it would boot right
from grub. I just got my mom convinced to let me put kubuntu on the
home desktop, and everything is working fine so far. I have Quicken
running under wine, and am going to see if Tax Cut will. If Tax Cut
runs and mom can e-file here taxes from wine, I will totally delete
windows from the hard drive. Tomorrow I am going to install kubuntu on
one of my friends laptop, and the only thing he will use the windows
for will be for Delorme GPS. Until some gps program that works good
comes out for linux. Laptop will remain with dual boot, so that I can
help friends that are having problems with the windows on their
computer. I doubt I would ever boot into windows for any other reason.
