First ensure that the debs downloaded okay, do:

sudo rm /var/cache/apt/archives/openoffice*.deb

then try again.

Dapper rocks, although the new notification bubble is really annoying.
Something simple and stylish like thunderbird uses to notify of new
messages on Windows would be better.
