I'll believe that.  I don't use 915resolution at all (mind you, I'm not
using the same machine - I have a Dell Inspiron 6000, with the same Intel
Graphics)

Where did you get that modeline from?  It's not the same as mine.  I got
mine from gtf, but it no longer seems to exist on my system...
