Cloneing OS & GRUB trouble

This caddy slot is normally used for my 40GB drive with no problems, there is 
only one caddy slot on my machine so its not a cable issue. knoppix views my 
160GB as hda1 when it is in place so my changed links on the HDD to make it a 
master must be correct (I assume)

Nope no grub screen

Its a standard Ubuntu setup, boot being part of /
