Hmm, this seems to be a bug - the app requires the raw1394 driver, but
the Ubuntu kernel does not enable it.  Have you compiled your own
kernel?

If not can you confirm the bug by running:

ls -l /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/ieee1394/raw1394.ko

in a terminal and post the output?
