	I have been trying to get a Umax Astra 2000p scanner to work with my
Dapper installation. There is a backend for it - I have followed the vague
instructions in the man, and the system tells me now xsane was not compiled
with the parallel port redirection option, which means it's useless with any
parallel port scanner. Is there anyway around this besides downloading sources
for sane satisfying all the dependencies then recompiling ??
