I'm not sure if it's a bug or not; your machine might be a bit on the slow
side (especially if you have 256 K rather than MB!) for the live
installation. Anyway, you might want to consider downloading the
"Alternative" install CD. This option is handy for older hardware because
rather than having a graphical installer using up all your RAM, it instead
goes right to a blue screen and installs Ubuntu quite a lot simpler.
