You might want to try installing the "restricted-modules" from the Synaptec
package manager, and rebooting your machine. I'm not saying this will work,
but it does install a lot of the stuff needed to get peripherals working
properly.
Just do a search in Synaptec using "restricted modules" in the search box,
and if you're using a pc, make sure when you download it's for the x86
architecture.
