CD problems

I am trying to burn a compilation of files ripped from vinyl to a cd but
it's not working. I used Rezound to rip the album, seperated the music into
tracks and cleaned it up, then burned it to a CD, but the only software that
will play it is XMMS or similar software. CD Player just gives me a drive error.
I can see the files on the CD. What did I do wrong ?
