Oh, i am sorry for the continuous confusion from my side...
root at betelheise:/home/deepfire # rm /var/cache/apt/*.bin
root at betelheise:/home/deepfire # apt-get install seahorse
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
seahorse is already the newest version.
Segmentation fault
root at betelheise:/home/deepfire # rm /var/cache/apt/*.bin
root at betelheise:/home/deepfire # apt-get upgrade

Segmentation fault
So, no, it does not help.
