Analysing network problems is one of those things that has to be done
tiny step by tiny step. Some things to get started:
- it seems that eth0 is up, but check anyway with ifconfig.
- did you set up the network as DHCP or static IP?
- can you ping the other boxes & can they ping the linux box?
- try pinging an outside server (eg. www.google.com).
- Did you set up the network for ADSL or LAN networking? It should be
LAN since you have a router.
Some of the above checks might give you a clue.
