joystick

Hi,
Snes9x by default looks for my joystick at /dev/js0 so anytime i boot i
have to manually set a symbolic link to /dev/input/js0. I have created
an entry in the applications menu with 
gksudo "ln - /dev/input/js0 /dev/js0"  

I know i can probably add it as an entry to the session menu too, but i
was wondering is there is any other way to create the link only if i
plug the joystick.
