Creating packages for Ubuntu, help not sure where I am going

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to create packages (debs) for a product called Rivendell
(http://www.salemradiolabs.com/rivendell/) a radio automation system
for Ubuntu/Kubntu. The idea is that I want to run an apt source so
other people can get this package quickly and easily.

So far I have been following the but, I am not sure what I do to
actually build the packages

Are there any guides that can help me build debian packages from
source packages.
