Hi Wade Smart!

Little time now - regrets.

Google "iptables network address translation"

Basically you can enable the path to your ethernet port on the laptop
and leave the wireless connection as it is.  I did this on a Dell 8100
with fabulous results.

Also Google "linux dhcp server".
