Ruby is a programming language (http://www.ruby-lang.org). It's an
interpreted "scripting" language in the same vein as Python or Perl but,
in my experience, far more of a delight to program in than either of
these (although, to be fair, Python would come a very close second in my
books). It also has the best RAD web application development platform
I've seen (http://www.rubyonrails.org) which is the reason I switched
over to it.
