hello,
Currently, I am running kernel-image-2.6.15.25-386 on my laptop with with AMD
Turion64 X2 processor. This kernel is per default shipped with
Ubuntu6.06 to make it work on any x386 processor. It, naturally, does
not support dual processors.
If I liked to compile a kernel by myself, would you suggest standard kernel
from kernel.org (with current version 2.6.17.11) or kernel-headers-2.6.15.26-k7 ?
What are the advantages or drawbacks of both kernel headers? Is the k7-kernel
patched by Ubuntu?
Regards,
