Trying fglrx on a Comapq nx7010

Hi,

I was trying to get fglrx to work on my Compaq nx7010 laptop which has 
Mobility Radeon 9200. The link I followed is

I tried the manual Method 2.

When I did a restart. I got a screen in which things were visible, but 
the screen had lines in it. Even switching to Ctrl + Alt + 1 had 
distorted fonts. Now I am using the ati driver. Any other HP nx7010  
laptop users experienced such problems ?
