conversion

I would like to use my digital camera to take short videos and then
process the individual frames using stacking software. The problem is
that the video files are wav format which is not accepted by the
stacking software. So, I would like to convert from wav to jpeg. I have
worked my way through google and I have finished up more confused than
when I started. There appear to be lots of software to do the job on
windows but I have not found anything I could use.

I would be very pleased if someone can advise me on my next move.
