I'm curious why it is you think it so necessary to tell people you're
ignoring them.  That's the part that smacks of Kindergarten to me.
Using killfiles to alleviate aggravation?  That's fine.  I have a
sizable killfile myself for just that reason.  It's the announcing your
use of it that I find childish.  Or, to go along with the subject that
started this thread, that I find easily as offensive as using the
f-word.  In fact quite a bit moreso.

What I'm seeing in your defense of plonking people is that you want to
get the last stinging word in before you plug your ears and start that
chant of not being able to hear people.  Which, to me, looks really
suspiciously like exactly the kind of social ineptness that you were so
recently denouncing.
