I've tried running the installer for Windows under Wine and it cannot find Ikernal.exe(w\e to using that i guess) and ive also tried installing their Linux ATI catalyst driver, but Gedit tells me that the rpm file is an unsupported format, and the site also says to use Check.sh to determine which Xorg I'm using, and that came back as v7.0.0,and the site has a 6.8.8 driver and some older 4.3 one,but neither seem to be openable by Gedit.Im using an ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series(as Windows registers it,but its ATI Radeon Xpress 200G under Disk control or whatever its called under Admin in Ubuntu. Not sure what difference it really makes, but i figured I might as well list that since it isnt quite the same thing.)
I'm trying to get this driver installed because my resolution is stuck at 640x400x16 at 69 Hz(my moniter has an OnScreenDisplay(OSD)and it tells me that is what im getting and its an Analog D-Sub input(when im in Ubuntu),and and 1024x768x32 at 74 Hz Analog D-Sub input in MS Win XP MCE '05 and id like to get 1024x768 in Ubuntu if i can,or at least perhaps 800x600 in Ubuntu.
