Rebuilt kernel => no consoles?

I just realized I could probably check this by doing "make menuconfig"
again, so I did.

Can't find anything called "Virtual terminal" under 
Device drivers -> Character devices

At this point I see:

By "which one" you mean "which frame buffer?"  I don't know.  Can you
tell from the above?
