MCP51 AC97 on-board sound worked when I installed Ubuntu, then stopped!

I have the "AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3800+" but am running a k7
kernel and the 32-bit Ubuntu distribution.

The link I posted does say to download and run
"NFORCE-Linux-x86-1.0-0310-pkg1.run".  I'll let you know how it goes.
