Best way to manage Id3 tags?

The best program I have seen from any platform to manage tags is
GtkPod. What a well thought out program. Now, as it implies, this is
for your iPod. However, perhaps you can use it for anything.

Gtkpod allows you to quickly sort files in "tabs" (which act like
buckets for groups of files). You change something on a main category
for a group of files, and it gets apply to ALL the files. (Think
iTunes with steroids). I know iTunes allows you to select a bunch of
files and edit all at once, but, the interface is not as intuitive as
Gtkpod. As an added bonus, Gtkpod allows you to queue tunes in XMMS if
you want to listen to them while you use Gtkpod to edit the tags.

Give it a try!

Now, in my case, I compile Gtkpod myself (straight from their revision
control system). But the package for Edgy might be very good... Not
sure (yet).
