Hi Tim!
After you "share" the printer in XP you attach to it when you "Add" it
in the System > Administration > Printing window.
# From "Ubuntu document storage facility"!?!? [Caution!] but Looks ok.
http://doc.gwos.org/index.php/Print_Windows_XP_machine
# Dated and with "herring" but the basics look to be here

If you place the printer on the Ubuntu machine and the share it with
the XP machine then Samba is the tool to do this:
# Specific Ubuntu printer shared to XP from Ubuntu community
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/NetworkPrintingFromWinXP
# From the Ubuntu website documentation
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SettingUpSamba
# From the "Ubuntu document storage" facility?!?! [Caution!]
http://doc.gwos.org/index.php/Share_files_using_Samba
# From the unofficial Ubuntu guides
http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Dapper#Samba_Server
I want to share a printer UNIX to UNIX and have a lot more study to do.
Good Reading!
Tod
