Just got Ubuntu installed on a "newer" machine. Wow, it great too.
previously I had it installed on a older pieced together machine from
parts laying around the house.
Any, I degress..
Now that I have all this new found speed my wife ask me if we could see
a move on the machine. Of course I would never have attempted this
before since the dang machine was just good enough to check email and do
some surfing.
So I pop in a DVD (store bought, legal, please don't send me no letters
RIAA.)
Anyway, I pop in the dvd and pull up Totem.
When I try to load the dvd it states:
"Totem was not able to play this disk"
"Please check that a disk is present in the drive" -> with an ok
button at the bottom.
If I put the same dvd in my (office machine, not purchased by me)
windows 2000 lap top it plays no problem.
Is this a case of the drive in my Ubuntu can't handle DVD's?
or
Totem can't handle that type of format
Thanks
Pat
