Has Ubuntu Replaced Windows on Your Box?

even though it says not to reply to this post if you're still booting
I'm gonna :D . First off I'd like to say that I almost never use my
windows boot anymore, for two obvious reasons.

1. I'm a college student, and windows is notorious for being bloated
e.g. it uses a ton of battery life just existing.

2. I love open office, it's easy to use, and compatable with
anything.... when you email a professor (especially when you know what
type of computer they use) you can send it in any format. This
actually surprised my networking professor as he uses a MAC.

However there's still a few good uses for windows xp. First off, my
math class requires the use of internet explorer 6.... doesn't even
recognize any other browser. However the program is a good one and the
class is easy, so I don't mind firing up windows xp anymore. The other
obvious reason is gaming... this has diminished since support of the
1/2life2 engine (which runs on most of my games). I'm not an avid
gamer in the least, I just like to sit down and install something
quick... and as much as I love this newfound OS, installing anything
more complex than solitare can be a headache. (for using linux under a
month I think I'm doing okay though)

Anyways that's my two cents on the subject if anyone cares, I despise
windows, but it does serve my purposes... for the moment.
