Dual boot-linspire

Not correct ;-)
The Ubuntu installer looks for any operating system it can find, be it Windows of any kind, or other Linuxes, or even older versions of itself. For example on my machine I have Ubuntu Dapper, Windows XP, and I also installed Ubuntu Edgy (development version). When I install Edgy, it always succesfully finds Dapper and Windows XP, informs me about it, and simply asks confirmation before installing the multi-boot menu. 

So if the Ubuntu installer didn't detect Linspire, it's not a feature, it's a bug ! ....which you can file inthe Ubuntu bug tracking system.
