Yes, it has. It cannot be used for filesystems on a "dual" boot
system which should be used for data exchange, as LVM can ONLY
be used with Linux. No other OS can read Linux LVM.

It isn't outdated. The Howto is very much up to date, as LVM2
hasn't changed that much. I'm referring to the complete Howto,
not just the section "benefitsoflvmsmall.html". Eg., all of the
Recipes and Common Tasks can still be used exactly as written
in the howto. It's especially those sections, that make the Howto
so good. Also the section "Anatomy of LVM" is very good. It's
well written and rather easy to understand.
The Howto clearly is *NOT* outdated.
