CUPS blocks browsing/sharing update

Hi,

this week I updated CUPS packages (along with all updates available through 
security and such), and had to re-enable browsing and sharing manually. Is 
this supposed to happen? I expected my configs to be fully sustained.

Don't know if this is of any help, but  I didn't enable those services in the 
main cupsd.conf, but through the scripts in /usr/share/cups. Are those 
modifications get lost in every upgrade/update?
