system is restarting when i m trying to install UBUNTU???????

For REDHAT9.0
This is my fdisk -l o/p is coming.U can see my /boot partition install in
hda6-------

units =cylinders of 15120*512=7741440 bytes

 Linux swappartiiton table entries are not in disk order.


In rescue mode i have installed GRUB in others partition too ,like
hda1,hda3,hda4
but nothing is working........................

I have already tried for FC4 ,the same problem i m facing with FC4 also ,i m
unable to install it......... when i press ENTER for  installation my system
is going to restart.............( the same prob i m gettigng with UBUNTU)

I have 256 RAM ,40GB harddisk,x86 mother board


U didnt tell me the reason why i m unable to installl UBUNTU.I have already
requested for UBUNTU 6.06.SO it will take time to reach my
home...................


when i m getting GRUB prompt.............I m able to boot windows form
commands.

grub> rootnoverify (hd0,0)
grub> chainloader +1
grub> boot

These command boots my WINDOWS....................

Yaa ,i likes REDHAT but some how i m getting GRUB problem & i have tried
every thing for it but i dont know what the hell is going with
me???????????????
So for few days i want to move towards UBUNTU but here is also problem for
me.............


REDHAT 9.0 -------- GRUB prob
FC4------------- SYSTEM IS RESTARTING
UBUNTU5.04-------------- SYSTEM IS RESTARTING(from both CD LIVE & INSTALL)
UBUNTU5.10---------------- SYSTEM IS RESTARTING(from both LIVE & INASTALL)
