SUDO/SU Password Issue

if you want to be root in terminal, you can

open terminal

sudo -s

or

sudo -i

also, if you right click the Application/Places/Systems window, you can
select the root terminal icon, and you can get to root terminal that
way.

if you want set a root password, you can.

open terminal

sudo passwd root.

If you want to login to gnome as root, there is only one way I have
done that.

Kill gdm,

which gives you commandline screen.

login as root, or su to root.

then

startx

I really think this is a bad Idea, especially logging in to gnome as
root.

I am also sure there is a safer way then what I have suggested.
