Step-by-step manual to partition HD with LVM

Yes, I did spending an hour without a solution.  I ran "ubuntu-6.06
alternate amd64" booting "expert mode"  IIRC I selected "Erase the HD
and partition in LVM .... something like that"  Finally I was compelled
selecting "Manually partitioning the HD" and came to the present
situration.  Therefore I started searching step-by-step partition
manual for Ubuntu-6.06

One point I forgot to mention.  I created /boot partition but wihout
using it saving grub/boot on MBR.

I'll run ""Erase the HD and partition in LVM .... " again during
another round
