I'm likely add here, but Linux replaced my Windows Desktops many years
ago (6 ?).
I started with Debian them moved to Ubuntu for my Desktops when it
was first released. I have to admit having one Windows laptop for work
because our office uses office applications. But for my home laptop, I
never saw the Windows XP Media Edition that came with it and I have an
Ubuntu desktop at work that I actually use more then my work Windows
laptop. The Windows laptop comes out to work on Access apps and other
Windows only apps, which is once a week or so on average.
