yup. Same here. 

For the record, the "heavy harddrive activity" is actually no activity
at all, and sems to be the reason for the failure to resume from ACPI
S3 -- the SATA controller does not resume proerly and produces
timeouts. This has actually been fixed in a recent kernel patch, and
integrated into kernel 2.6.16 -- but the dapper kernel does not come
with this SATA resume fix, unfortunately.
