What makes Ubuntu so popular and on the rise

Ubuntu is a distribution aiming to please anyone, from beginning desktop
users to high-end-server administrators. The best part about Ubuntu
though is the friendly community (who help if the other nice thing about
ubuntu, that everything should Just Work, fails to be true for you).
