I don't know of any other way other than the "ln" command. In a terminal, type: ln -s /media/hdb1/Stuff ~/Desktop/Stuff where, "/media/hdb1/Stuff" is the destination and "~/Desktop/Stuff" is where you want the link... -- hero2zero
