Observation: LAME

I was stunned to learn that installing LAME didn't get me the 'libmp3lame.so' 
lib for saving from Audicity into MP3 format.  I found the source, 
compiled/installed it w/o any prob.  I just hope that it doesn't muck things 
up, since I didn't remove kubuntu's LAME, first.  Guess I'll find out soon 
enough.
