Aptitude wants to remove "ubuntu-desktop"

ubuntu-desktop is a meta-package, by installing it you pull in all the
separate packages that make up the ubuntu desktop.  However, once
installed you can remove ubuntu-desktop and it won't affect any of the
other packages installed with it.  In other words, it's quite safe to
remove ubuntu-desktop.



The one caution is that if/when you do a dist-upgrade (e.g. breezy to
dapper), it would be best to re-install ubuntu-desktop first, with any
packages it pulls in, or the upgrade may fail.
