CD needed for upgrades?

But this is gnome only and not e.g. xfce or kde.
Actually, those questions I would always answer with a non-UI statement.

PS: yes I know, this is ubuntu-users, but ubuntu is also the base of 
kubuntu and xubuntu ;)
