Using patched ligtag 1.4 (amarok w/ wma support)

In an attempt to coax amaroK to load .wma enocoded music in to my
collection; I've successfully compiled and installed the wma patched libtag
from http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~ushankar/taglib-wma/

Since installing, amaroK continues to use the 1.3x version of libtag. One
thing that may be causing this is the patched libtag compiled as 'taglib',
and is displayed as such in Synaptic. My next step is to attemp to
re-compile the patched libtag as  libtag and see if it will replace my
current 1.3x version outright.

Any ideas on this?
