Strikes are not extortion or blackmail. Not all types of "pressure" are 
wrong. If you go to a computer store and tell them that you won't buy 
their computer unless it supports Linux, that's not extortion. You, as a 
customer, have the right to do that. Likewise, unions have the right to 
call for a strike, and that's not extortion either. Extortion is 
illegal, strikes are legal.

I won't comment on whether the Kubuntu-German team is right or wrong. 
But I do take issue with comparing the legal right to strike with the 
illegal practice of extortion and blackmail.
