I have Ubuntu running on a regualar PC with a SmartArray 5300 (pci-x) running in a 32 bit PCI slot. Ubuntu found the Raid Card just fine. Looks like all the Linux variants use the cciss driver. I wanted to run software RAID as I now have four drives attached but I can't see where to do that. Red Hats LVM gives you the option I don't see it in Ubuntu. -- punkybouy
