Unwanted program automatically launching at startup

I am not seeing the save settings option when I log out of dapper but
I did find the following file:
~/.gnome2/session
which seems to contain current session information and when I deleted
the lines related to rhythmbox, the problem of rhythmbox starting
automatically went away.
