Dapper upgrade with resolvconf not working on startup

Hello there,

Derek, I'm having the same kind of problems that Adam and, for me,
using only DHCP is not an option: my work's network uses fixed IP's
and, believe me, being able to use both fixed addresses and dhcp will
be much faster than changing things at work.

I am a little confused because my impression is that ifplugd is not a
replacement for resolvconf. What I want is to get home, plug-in the
network cable (yes, I don't have wifi or whatever) turn on the computer
and see the network, the same goes for my work. All of which was
actually working until today, when I have performed my daily apt-get
upgrade. So I would basically think that something got broken between
flight5 and flight6.
