CD burning - hardware compatibility

Sorry for the top post.

In 2.6 SCSI emulation is no longer needed. For IDE CD writing. It is still handy for IDE tape as the ide-tape kernel driver is pretty broken.

This is a double negative. In 2.6 is SCSI emulation needed?
