Depending on the mobile device, try either multisync (PocketPC) or the
gnome pilot applet control panel (Palm Devices).

Evolution has some nice sync'ing support for sharing contacts and the
like with a mobile device.

I personally use a Sony Clie 615C (PalmOS), which I can sync with using
gnome pilot and evolution.
