compiling amyedit

Hi everyone.

I'm using Breezy and try to create a .deb package for AmyEdit
(amyedit.sourceforge.net).

I've installed the developement libraries that are needed to compile the
 source. THe ./configure step works out nice, during the "make" step
however, I'm running into errors like:


/usr/include/libintl.h:40: Error: expected unqualified-id before »const«
/usr/include/libintl.h:40: Error: expected `)' before »const«
/usr/include/libintl.h:40: Error: expected initializer before »const«
/usr/include/libintl.h:44: Error: expected unqualified-id before »const«
...

Anyone that has a hint or a solution to this problem? Thanks a lot in
advance...
